Audio is processed by this page in your browser and is not sent to our server.

• Your browser asks before the page can use the microphone. You can take that permission back at any time in your browser's site settings.
• The page stops the microphone when the test finishes, when you press Stop or Reset, and when you leave the page.
• The comparison clips are kept in the page's memory so you can play them back, and are dropped when you reset or leave.
• The result card is drawn by the page. Saving it downloads the image to your device; we do not receive a copy.
• The page reads your microphone's name to fill the device list. The name is not put on the result card or sent to us.

• Host logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, our infrastructure provider records each request: the IP address, the browser's user agent, the page asked for and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
• Page-view counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views: a small script on each page tells Cloudflare which page was viewed, from which referring page, in which browser, and how fast it loaded. It sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you.
• Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to reply.

• No accounts or sign-ups.
• No uploads: the test has no upload step and no server that receives audio.
• No cookies set by us, and no advertising scripts.
