§ 01 — Removes

What it removes

  • Background noise from your mic (Noise Removal)
  • Room echo and reverb (Room Echo Removal)
  • Noise in the audio you hear from others (Noise Removal on the speaker)
§ 02 — Limits

What it cannot do

  • Windows only
  • Needs an NVIDIA RTX GPU; GeForce GTX cards are not supported
  • Takes GPU time from games: NVIDIA measured a 5–10% impact on an RTX 5090
  • Studio Voice needs an RTX 3060 or higher and cannot be combined with mic noise removal
  • Do not make the NVIDIA Broadcast speaker your Windows default output, or it filters all system sound
  • Turn off the chat app's own noise suppression so the two do not stack
  • RTX Voice, NVIDIA's 2020 beta, lives on as Noise Removal in NVIDIA Broadcast, which NVIDIA says is based on it; for GeForce GTX cards, NVIDIA's FAQ points to RTX Voice instead and warns results may vary (checked 2026-10-18)
§ 03 — Setup

Where the setting is

NVIDIA Broadcast → Microphone → pick your mic at the top → add Noise Removal; then choose Microphone (NVIDIA Broadcast) in the chat app's audio settings

After you switch, run the noise test with the NVIDIA Broadcast microphone selected in your browser's mic list, and compare the floor with your plain mic.
